8a.m. LECOM Costume Caper 5K Family Fun Run/Walk At Heinz Quay: starts and finishes just past Mr. Rogers Memorial on Riverwalk…register now! Great prizes for top finishers and top costumes!


All Day…Champions Row—Market Street Pier On Riverwalk: 2,000+ pound champion pumpkins including the World Record jack-o-lantern pumpkin!


All Day…Carvers Court—Riverwalk At Steps By Bettis’ Grille: massive pumpkin portraits of characters from movies filmed in Pittsburgh by the top giant pumpkin carvers in the country.


While Supplies Last…Baierl.com Pumpkin Pickup Patch on Great Lawn: free giveaway of soccer-ball sized pumpkins [set amount each day of festival]…a decoration station, too, for kids to paint them however they like!


All Day…Sperdute Farm Market—Great Lawn near Info Tent: seasonal vegetables, gourds and several types of pumpkins…plus homemade spreads, jellies and other edible goods and unique crafts.


All Day…Vessel Studio Glass—Next to Carvers Court: hand-blown glass demos by Drew and Jeannine Hine of Vessel Studio Glass, Southside, along with an abundant display of their hand-blown Fall-themed items for sale including all sorts/sizes of glass pumpkins.


All Day...Fall Festival Fantasia—Great Lawn: vendors of every sort…and all the atmosphere that makes it great to be outdoors in October in western Pennsylvania.


All Day...Kids Pedal Tractor Pull—Riverwalk: new to the festival this year…they look and feel like real farm tractors but they’re made for tykes, ages 3-to 8-years old, to pedal and pull the weight behind them in this non-competitive and lots of wholesome fun activity for little ones.


1pm…“Great Pumpkin Paddle” Races—Allegheny River: you won’t believe what you’re seeing as giant pumpkin boats paddle their way up and around the Allegheny River in one wacky flotilla of floating fruit.


2pm…Pumpkin Piñata Drop—Great Lawn: giant pumpkin is dropped from 60-feet high and explodes on the ground with lots of candy for kids to scoop up.


5pm…Project Bundle-Up Splash—Great Lawn: giant pumpkin falls into pool dispersing numbered ping pong balls inside. Ball traveling farthest from pool wins great prize package. Please support the cause! Get your entry ball now at: https://projectbundleup.org/

pumpkins exhibited for some great selfie ops!

1pm and 3pm …“Pie Eating Plunge” Great Lawn, our famous pie eating contests featuring the scrumptious confections of the area’s most talented baker, Bella Christie and Lil’ Z’s Sweet Boutique. Who’s got the stomach for it?


2pm…Pumpkin Piñata Drop—Great Lawn: giant pumpkin is dropped from 60-feet high and explodes on the ground with lots of candy for kids to scoop up.


5pm…PGPGA Splash—Great Lawn: ping pong ball prize drop #2 to support PA Giant Pumpkin Growers Association who grew many of the giants used in the festival.
